Samples

The following is a sample pageant shoot set up. A successful pageant shoot can depend on many factors and requires massive amounts of footage. Stationary multi-camera shoots supported by a mobile camera (for close-ups) is essential. Critical shots should not be missed. Since each camera in a multi camera shoot will have a separate soundtrack it is relatively easy to mix and match the tracks for better quality. A small diagram that links to a larger one is at the bottom of this page.
bullet One stationary camera concentrates on the podium (EMCEE area) capable of zooming in at critical times. External Microphone and Light are used on this unit.

bullet  Each pageant has it’s own personality - the footage identifies, captures it, and promotes the next event.

bullet One camcorder is usually designated as a backup and is completely set up to replace a live camera in the event  of a malfunction.
bullet  Precious or classic moments should not be missed because there was only one camera and it was focusing on something else at the time or there were no backup provisions.
